I need to describe the working principle of the two phase unipolar PM model stepper motor.
For the PM type stepper motor, the static magnet is employed for coils and rotor are fixed at stator. A stepper motor type which features four poles is displayed in the image above. With this motor, the rotor step angle is ninety degrees.
And for four poles, the bottom and the top and both side are a pair. X coil, X' coil and Y coil, Y' coil equate respectively. For instance, X coil and X' coil are placed at the lower and upper pole.
